Many years ago I could get broadband sync speed of 80/20.
I'm currently Syncing at 59999/20000 (having just dropped from 74999).
This latest drop seems to be due to upgrading my draytek 2860 router to the latest firmware and finding it wouldnt connect (yesterday). DLM seems to be far too unforgiving when it comes to upgrades, powercuts, cable changes etc which has taken me lower and lower.
I've been a long time BT customer and would appreciate a bit of good will to get me back up to a sync of 80/20 or perhaps a bit less due to crosstalk.
I now have Download SNR = 11 and upstream SNR = 10, so there is plenty of headroom.
Can a moderator can arrange to get an Engineer to reset DLM now I have rectified the problems (proper firmware, new cabling) etc.
Engineers only reset DLM after attending the property and fixing a fault. A firmware update should not cause DLM to take action.
Thanks for the quick reply.
The firmware made the connection going into a cycle of training / connecting and dropping over and over again. Next day a considerable drop in sync speed.
A coincidence. I think not.
