Yesterday (Friday 5th June) our infinity connection was finally enabled on our connection. We had waited 4 months since the first cabinet on our exchange to be enable and ours was the last. So we were very keen to see if there was an improvement on our 5 down and 0.3 up, we were very skeptical as we have had problems with BT in the past. Our first test showed a massive improvement on the upload, it had increased to 5 up! (And I know the connection speeds vary in the first week or so) but 5 was good enough for now even though we were promised higher. Now we get on to the download, other people I knew on our exchange but a different cabinet said that initially they got 35 down on BT Infinity 2 but it has now maxed out at 75 down. We on the other hand are getting between 8 - 12 down. This to me seems very low for an initial speed and I can't see how we would ever get near 76 down if our initially speed isn't even in double digits?! Also our connection kept restarting every half an hour during that evening and continues to do so this morning. Also when the connection was actually working alright last night, I was getting 80% loss on the connection and 200 ping when I was gaming. I can tell you that isn't fun to use.
TL;DR - Before fibre we got 5 down and 0.3 up, we are paying for BT Infinity 2 and are now getting 12 down and 5 up. We are skeptical whether our connection will ever reach anything near 76 down. Also a couple other connection issues.
