I ordered BT Infinity on the 25th May and after 2 engineer visits and 2 appointments all I have is a shiny new phone socket!
The 1st appointment (19th June) was used putting in a new phone line which took 2 engineers about 5 hours to get working because there were no spare lines between the telegraph pole and the cabinet. The Infinity engineer was sent away.
The 2nd appointment (today) saw the Infinity engineer not even make it to my home because there was a fault on the line in the cabinet that he could not fix and requires a "specialist engineer" to be sent out to the cabinet. I am now waiting for someone from BT to call and arrange a new appointment with me on Friday.
On the brightside I'm not being charged until all the services are installed and I'm getting my first month free!
I spent 20 minutes on the phone yesterday trying to find out whether the fault on the cabinet had been rectified. Apparently someone tried to phone me on Thursday after the fault had been rectified to arrange a new appointment. I had my phone on me the entire day and it didn't ring once!
I also got a text/e-mail this morning regarding a new appointment for the 23rd July. I will have to phone up again on Monday and get this moved forward as I find it unacceptable as none of the delays have been my fault.
