Have been achieving download speeds on BT Infinity of circa 22MB. A week or so ago an order was raised to up this to 76M (by my company without my intervention). However when checking the capability of the line it would never achieve these speeds. Thought nothing of this until today when speeds suddenly dropped to download of circa 3MB (upload speed is faster). Power cycled modem and hub and still no change.
Rang BT, no fault on line and have spoken to Tech Support they advised that the order to raise the Infinity speed had caused this issue as it was raised against a line not capable of supporting the change. BT say they will raise an amend order to sort this out.
Has anyone experienced this type of issue and is there anyway the mods could help get this resolved quickly?

You don't live in East London / West Essex do you by any chance?
If so have a look here.......

I did notice that post, but I'm in North Essex - Colchester (Highwoods Exchange).
Looks like its more widespread than originally thought - just had someone from north Kent report in with the same issue.
Thanks Colin..I'll check speeds in the morning and see whether things have improved.
I'm also in Colchester creedp, same problem.
Yes all looks ok this morning. thanks
