After getting BT infinity (we have fibre to cabinet in the town). Download speeds were at 16+mb. great. but our upload speeds were a poor 0.5mbps.
Now Have just completed another speed test and Upload speeds have bottomed out to 0.00mbps but i am still able to get over 20mbps down?
Have had engineers come out and do various line tests and noise tests. One POOR escuse from the company is that there is a length of aluminium cable in the run which means it will drop. If that was the reason why am i able to get a good downstream on a poor line?
BT is basically saing that electrons prefer to flow in one direction on a cable than the other way??!!
I queried with them about the slow upload speeds and they said that they dont guarantee upload speeds. So now i am PAYING for a service that is unusable. i have asked this question on one of my many phone calls and they seem very happy to sell you a service and then not provide it!
Included is the speed test from BT.
it wont let me upload the second image. however it shows a down speed of 2mbps and a big fat 0 for uplaod. and claims that my ip profile is 10mbps ( for upload ) and 18 (for down)
fair enough about the up ip profile - take it thats hust a marketing thing.
Not running a homehub. so cant do those tests.
this is the checker results.
