Evening,
I hope someone can help me here.
We have had BT Infinity since March and have been getting constant 74/18 speeds until the last few days we have noticed that the speed has dropped.
The only thing that has changed of late is that we have added an extra BT TV box (Turned off while running tests).
Please see all stats needed below.
All tests ran on a wired connection.

I have also tried the test socket and I get the same results.
I thought it could be congestion but I tried first thing this morning and it was exactly the same.
I am using an MK3 BT Socket.
Thanks.

your internet connection is fine as can be seen from data rate at max 80/20 for infinity 2
there have been problems posted recently with low speeds reported by btspeedtster have you tried speedtest.net or better downloading a large file and see what speeds are reported
tried downloading a large file?
if the speed is the same whether peak or off peak then I think you need to look at Bt Tv box as that is the recent change. rather than switch it off did you disconnect it?
Downloading a large file seems to be slower.
Will try with both bt tv boxes off.
Still no difference with both tv boxes off.
50/9 ping 26
Try a wired speedtest, using an Ethernet cable supplied with the router, here http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html . Click on the "Results Page" button at the bottom of the graph you first see and then copy to here just the "Link to this result:" link that you see below the next main graph.
could it be a faulty router?. Will BT provide me with a new one ?.
All these speedtests seem to be consistent on about 50/9 Meg throughput from a 80/20 Meg sync. They can't all be wrong!
Might be congestion at your exchange. What exchange are you connected to? If you don't know use: http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange_search and post the URL of your exchange page.
