I have sporadic issues with https connections on my BT Infinity service.
I used to be on Virgin ADSL and had no issues.
I can also use a Orange mobile dongle with no issues if I switch to that when experiencing problems with BT.
Some example sites:
Dixons checkout pages
NatWest banking pages
Anyone else experience this?
Should I periodically reboot the HomeHub and VDSL?
Cheers,
Jason.
Sounds more like a problem with your browser or firewall. have you updated either?
I've got the same issue! NatWest login pages take ages (HTTPS) and Unity3D registration (HTTPS)
I know it's not an issue website-side as I've got a VPS in america that I connect to and can log into NatWest and send off my Unity3D registration there.
quigger, for reference I'm on Win7 64-bit, AVG and Windows Firewall. Happens on all browsers.
Well today I can't access https://www.bt.com/siteminderagent/forms/login.fcc (on any browser).
Computer issue? Nope, have tried it on two house computers and an Android phone for good measure, this is definitely either a modem/router issue or BT is doing something their side (e.g. throttling the non http ports to death)
Update: It's specific sites. I can access other HTTPS sites (e.g. work e-mail through HTTPS - https://email.*****.co.uk/owa/)
What is going on ....?
Can someone on Infinity kindly do me a test and visit https://upgrades.o2.co.uk/index.htm and tell me if it's darn slow for you too? It's not the site as I'm loading up VNC and connecting to a VPS in America and it's instantly loading. It'll definitely rule out traffic shaping if someone on Infinity can tell me either way.
Thanks you generous souls!!!
The page loads instantly for me.
Thanks both! Something to do with my side then. You've been a great help!
