BT Infinity avaliablility

Go to solution

I need help. I have tried to gain infinity for months now and am getting nowhere. Openreach have sent me an email saying that there has been an error in data and that I should be able to gain infinity for my precise cabinet. But when I ring Sales at Bt or technical help they say its not available. It takes ages for a response from Openreach by e mail there is no phone number and BT just dont seem interested. Neighbours connected to the ssame cabinet have superfast. Surely somebody somewhere knows how I can resolve this problem, its drving me insane that nobody seems to care.

Thanks

Hi Nigehol,

If the Openreach FTTC infrastructure is already installed and your FTTC DSLAM cabinet (which will be connected to your PCP[cabinet]) has enough capacity to accept a new connection, and your within the distance that the VDSL2 signals can fatefully reach your property then it could defiantly be an issue within the BT Wholesale database.

Can you post the results for your landline from the BT Wholesale database by going to http://dslchecker.bt.com/adsl

remember to edit your landline number before clicking "Post"

Also compare this to your neighbours results, and post here. Again please edit the landline number and any personal info.

Nigehol,

maybe try the address checker for your nneighbour's. It's less accurate than the landline checker though is pretty decent : http://dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.AddressOutput

Re: BT Infinity avaliablility

Nigehol,

What were the estimated FTTC ranges for your neighbour?

How far away are you from your neighbour?

As you may come under the Sub 15mbps Faster Unlimited broadband (FTTC) service, or could simple be too far away from your cabinet to get FTTC Fibre broadband

For example:

HighLowHighLow
FTTC Range A (Clean) 12.8 18.4 10.5 19.9 -- Available
FTTC Range B (Impacted) 9.6 12.7 10.5 19.9 -- Available

Re: BT Infinity avaliablility

Hi Guru,

Dont understand where I get the estimated FTTC ranges for my neighbour but this house is 20 yards further away from the cabinet than our house.

I can only think that the data being given for my property has still not been corrected so is my only option is to yet again return by e mail to openreach?

Thanks Guru I wait with baited breath. I hope that the moderators will take more interest than their colleagues who I have spoken to on the phone. They run to a script and just cant and dont know how to handle a situation which isnt on their list.
