BT Infinity - constant disconnections

The past month or so my BT Infinity has been dropping connection at random (seemingly every hour or so), all devices disconnect when this happens.  I have rebooted the HH, I have also done a reset, none of these have helped.  I've also tried disabling 5ghz, disabling UPNP and changing Wireless channel.   None of these have helped.

Here is part of the log from when it disconnected last.  The entries I have highlighted always coincide with the disconnect:

Re: BT Infinity - constant disconnections

Hi,

The CWMP event you see at 17:32:09 is a result of the line sync, not a cause of it. The router is configured to use CWMP to connect back and inform of changes in the value of certain parameters.

What events do you see before the PPP and WAN events at 17:31:58?

Regards

Re: BT Infinity - constant disconnections

It wasn't a manual reset, seems entirely random when it goes out.  I did a clear line test and that seemed fine, speed tests are ok too.

Re: BT Infinity - constant disconnections

are you using test socket to eliminate your setup and internal wiring from causing the problem?

Re: BT Infinity - constant disconnections

I haven't done so as of yet, I will endeavour to do so though.  On second thoughts, I'm using the newer type of socket so I can't can I?

The socket is an Infinity SSFP socket.

Re: BT Infinity - constant disconnections

The first log message of significance is the one at 17:30:29, where the Home Hub sent a PPP termination request. There's nothing to indicate why it did this though. It could have been noise or interference on the line that caused it. As the line had been up for just over six hours at that point, there was presumably another event on your line just around 11.00 o'clock that's not shown.

Not sure what the weather was doing in your part of the country today, but the "event" might have been related to weather. My line stats were all over the place during the thunder/lighting we had earlier.

As you have a HH5A you might want to consider installing the RouterStatsHub software on a PC to monitor the HH DSL line stats. This would give an indication of how your line behaves throughout the day.

Re: BT Infinity - constant disconnections

From looking back through the logs it does all seem to be PPP Termination Requests, this has been happening for the past month.  I've installed RouterStatsHub now and will leave it on to monitor the connection.
