Obviously this should not be happening. As it is a wired connection you have ruled out wireless interference so it would suggest to me that the problem is outside your property.
The moderators have been informed of your problem. Once they have read this they may be able to help. They are a BT UK based team and if they can help they will reply via this post.

One of the mods should contact you within the next 3 days.
Still no contact from mods. Still urgently wanting to sort this out. If BT cant provide me with service as described on the package. I want to swtich back to my bb. Im currently paying more than bb and getting literally the same speed.
