It was installed yesterday and speeds are great so happy with this , the only problems was the 3 week wait time and some bad advice I had over the phone ie The line I have was in brothers name but he is moving out and wanted to take his broadband [ORANGE] who also had the line with him so I phoned BT up and told them the situation and some guy told me to cancel his line and take one with bt to get infinity and do a renumber which I did but it seems what I should have really done was a working line takeover so I have to phone up today and hopefully the order is complete and request a renumber !! Oh I bet they charge me for this privelege as well
Hopefully yours will stay like that - give it a few days and if you're unlucky like the rest of us, yours will drop!
Here's what mine used to be like when it went in: -
Unless your line is 100%, then expect it to drop! - you will then see the pink go up when interleaving is enabled.
Yes mate, hes write, we all suffer with that problem, when I had mine first installed the engineer was getting 35000kbps, somewhere, there, and now it has dropped to 24500kbps after 3 months of connection, dont want to put a downer on your day or nothing!. So expect a drop mate and the question is by how much??? If your line is not brilliant expect a big drop in download, upload and ping etc... goodluck though!!!.

I must be one of the lucky ones, then. 🙂 I've had Infinity II since I upgraded a while back and so far (everything crossed, touch wood, etc lol) my throughput has remained constant. 🙂
The one thing I did notice though, was that for the past two weeks or so, my ping to sites like bbc.co.uk and speedtest.net had doubled for no apparent reason, but they're back to normal now. 😄

yes mate I do think there is a throttle on my IP profile at the moment, its been checked into now as we speak, so I cannot go totaly on my speeds at the moment. You are lucky with those sort of stats mate, great things there, I'm jealous!!
The other chap, @V8growl, I would get yours checked out m8, soon as, going from 71MB Down to 16 Down. Something not write there, I would get that checked out, its not write, you should have a drop agreed, but not by that much!. 😞
Try this mate, post your stats:-
Openreach and BT say there is nothing wrong - they are muppets!
We all know there is something wrong - but for us to prove it is near enough impossible!
Good luck getting the throttling checked - I've got proof that throttling is on my line - but they tell me that it isn't!
Who am I going to believe? The equipment infront of me, or someone on the phone with Teflon shoulders?
Infinity matches the quality of customer services - both are a waste of space IMO.
It seems that Infinity works for some, but not for tha majority.
When I first got Infinity 2 installed it was great low pings while gaming etc.
Then five days's later the DSL light went poof 10 minutes later the speed dropped and the pings rised to make it worse Scottish power the bloodly fools started doing roadworks for no reason and power to the modem went off and on and after three weeks of Infinity I'm left with this which is not bad could be worse wish the pings would drop again tho.
