Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

That's good to hear. Can we apply to get a week's rental back given the impact over the last week?

Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

Hi Guys,

The tech team have got back to us to say that the issue has been fixed after some faulty hardware was isolated and taken out of service. We are sorry for any issues that this caused.

Please could you post back to let me know if you have seen an improvement?

Thanks

Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

Hello,

Why was this not picked up by your monitoring systems and after the influx of support (I would assue) did BT not recognise there was an issue?

c'mon BT do better and explain the issue in more detail.

Regards,

Sam

It's looking good for me today Paddy. Websites loading rapidly and Youview on demand stuff all behaving as it should do.

Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

Great news that the Internet is now working again, thanks to the mods for posting updates in here I appreciate it.

However BT as a company need to realise that it's not up to consumers to diagnose there problems for them, I think that we can all say that BTs first line support is less than effective and generally just annoying. If the support were informed and had some more advanced knowledge of the subject they are paid to help with then issues could be fixed that much quicker. Also I can't believe that BT do not have some sort of monitoring hardware in place that can pick this sort of issue up, I mean come on.

Please provide some more detailed information on the issue to avoid speculation as to what caused this, for example is it a new system to stop people going to torrent sites?

This really cannot happen again, learn from your mistakes, I hope someone from BT actually reads this.

Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

So is it true what I'm hearing that our DNS requests are being hijacked by BT using this?

http://www.barefruit.com/index.php

Talk Talk are apparently also using it but allow users to opt out.

Not happy, I want answers as does everyone else.
