I don't think everyone is affected, because I'm not seeing any problems

Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

Gaming is working smoothly again for me no NAT issues and other random things like before.

I mainly use it for gaming anyway so I can't comment about web pages loading or not.

The last time I checked my laptop was when it was bad a few days ago.

So if it's still happening it isn't affecting the gaming side e.g. not able to do anything at all.

Good luck everyone experiencing major issues still.

Mark.

Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

If you're skeptical, have a look at the outage map here:

https://downdetector.co.uk/problems/bt-british-telecom

I'm in one of those big red dots/yellow splotches. You can also see the tweets and facebook posts of customers who all have similar complaints. The Glasgow area has yet to see any improvement. I've had no service since the thread started. The only way to make BT Wifi work is to use a VPN.

I do wonder if BT plans to compensate us for this considerable downtime. It's truly inexcusable to have gone this long with countrywide issues and have no real explanation or timeline for a fix.

Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

Personally, I'm in Glasgow and since 2AM yesterday I have had no problems at all with gaming. I can't say I've noticed browsing slowing down either, but the crippling problems preventing me from playing World of Warcraft and using Voice Chat have vanished entirely.

Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

My connection seems much better since the fix was announced. Occasionally, a site may be slow to load but that's always happened. It's easy to spot trouble once one's "radar" is looking for it.

As others have posted, the problem does affect some people and not others. A friend only 3 mies away, but on a different exchange, has had no problems at all.

Hopefully, BT aren't trying to gradually route more traffic through the "faulty" equipment until enough peole start complaining again.

John.

Re: BT Infinity issues for the last few days

Hello,

Usually my internet uses is less than it us during the week (work from home) but what browsing and streaming I have done this weekend has been trouble free. I am not noticeing any issues, could be a different story as we move into the week.

With that said still having an issue with the BTTV (6023) which I will troubleshoot later.

-Sam
