You can buy Ethernet cables separately, how long do you need them to be?

You can just buy an Ethernet cable any length you require if the ones suppliespd are to short

I need about 4-5 metres but I've heard the standard size of the Ethernet cable that comes with the power line adapters are 2 metres. Also, is it true that using a power line setup can cause noise on your line and can reduce speeds of your connection?

Powerline adapters can reduce your speed but still a good option for what you are trying to do instead of running a very long Ethernet cable. You can go to auction site and get cable any length you want

A 5M Ethernet cable should cost you about £3/£4. The speed of connection will depend on the quality of your electrical wiring but shouldn't be a problem.

Thank you this really helps. Is there a specific type of Ethernet cable that I would need to buy?
