BT Infinity upload speed strange behavior

Using speedtest.net I get an upload speed of 6-7 Mbs, however when i try to pull a file over the VPN, use RDP, or use logmein backup im lucky to get 120kbps. this is true for 3 of my clients that have VDSL. am i missing something? Has anyone else noticed this problem?

Thanks

Mark

Re: BT Infinity upload speed strange behavior

my speed should be 30.2MB but i am only getting between 6 and 7 MB. I did a BT speed test came up the same speed as all the other speed tests i used online.

Re: BT Infinity upload speed strange behavior

Sorry Mark,

Don't know a lot about the workings of a VPN.

Shelly,

I take it you are referring to your download speeds, can you advise if this is a wired or wireless connection?

Thanks

Michael.

Re: BT Infinity upload speed strange behavior

Are the clients on vdsl all belong to bt or are they different providers. Could be routing issues or congestion. May also be that bt deep packet technology has been unable to detect what is being transferred and this limits upload to approx 100kbps.
