Hi - we've had BT Infinity for a while now and use a BT Smart Hub. For some reason, the internet drops at exactly the same time every day (give or take a few seconds). It doesn't do this at any other time that we're aware of.
Our router is a BT Hub 6A running Firmware version SG4B1000E020 (22 March 2020).
The problem has been persistent for a long time - I've finally decided to investigate it during lockdown, whereas for several months it's been a sign to stop watching netflix and go to bed. I've included the last three incidents from the router event log:
22:04:29, 04 Apr. dsl:VDSL Link Down: duration was 86377 seconds
22:04:27, 03 Apr. dsl:VDSL Link Down: duration was 77672 seconds
22:04:23, 02 Apr. dsl:VDSL Link Down: duration was 86374 seconds
Does anyone know what might be able to resolve this?
Thanks
if this is happening on a daily basis at or about the same time it suggests there is something your home causing interference causing hub to drop connection Often it is the heating system as boiler starts and it is arcing causing electrical interference
It may something else but certainly sounds like localised to your home or just outside

Blimey @imjolly , that might be it for me!! We have been staying at home as instructed but I, even at 74 years of age, have been burning the midnight oil, retiring for the night at about 2:30am!
The internet drops around 2:00am and our Hub reboots! Every night, like clockwork! Now I can see that this is the time our hot water heating kicks-off (Ecomony 7 or whatever it is) which would cause a fair spike.
I will check the heater has not started at about 1:50am tonight and then check again when the internet drops!
Who would have thought it?
Thanks @imjolly
Thanks very much for that @imjolly. I'll look into what is happening at that time to work out what's causing it. It may well be the heating!
