BT Internet total rubbish

BT Intewrnet is total **bleep**. watch the adverts and it states new state of the art home hub 3. yeah state of total **bleep**. if my phone rings it drops my connection. if i use my microwave ....... guess what, yep you guessed it my connection drops. now my email wont work through outlook express i keep getting a message saying account not recognised. so WTF have i been using since i set it up when i first took on a contract with total waste of time BT.

If any one is reading these forums before signing up to BT take some advice DONT BOTHER. total and utter load of **bleep**.

every day when i get home from work during the course of the evening i have to reset my home hub at least twice. maybe i should ask the local council if i can build a nuclear bunker outside so i can house my all singing all dancing pile of **bleep** BT home hub. unfortunatley i have at leat another 14 months to put up with this dire service that good old rip off BT offer.

would i tell a friend to go with BT. not a chance i would,nt even tell my worst enemy to sign up with this cowboy outfit who rip people off.

Re: BT Internet total rubbish

Hi Welcome to the forums

If you post the full stats from your router

For homehub – type 192.168.1.254 into your browser

Navigate to ADSL Settings or use the A-Z at the top right of the home page and scroll down to ADSL Settings and click on it

Click on More Details and then post the full results.

also post the full results from http://speedtester.bt.com/

or http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9354/c/346,4740,5520 and post the results .

Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal

also you could try the hints given by poster RogerB in this link they may help http://community.bt.com/t5/BB-in-Home/Poor-Broadband-speed/m-p/14217#M8397

Then someone here may be able to help and offer more advice.
