BT Junk Mail/Promotional Material

Hi,

I am currently getting BT junk mail sent through the post addressed to me, but they are using the address of a neighbour. Needless to say that they are getting fed up getting my BT Junk mail and having to bring it round to my address.

I'm also concerned that the material has my BT ID on it, from a GDPR/security point of view.

The correct address is shown on my BT account, bills etc. The only issue is this promotional material about BT TV, EE etc.

I know there is a link you can turn this off, but can I put someone else's address into this?

Thanks

@andwylie

Use this form https://www.bt.com/consumer/edw/privacypolicy/marketingpermission/bt/#/

You should be able to put another address in it after selecting that they are not a BT customer.

Re: BT Junk Mail/Promotional Material

Thanks, I did see that link, but I'll be putting my Account number/BTID with someone else's address into this form. I just wanted to make sure this isn't going to cause issues. Plus, they may be a BT customer themselves.

Why not get them to fill in the form, if they do not mind?

If they are not a BT customer, then the form does not need an account number.
