Watched my Hub6 being reset by BT(?)
It reconnected at 19Mbs down from contracted Minimum of 47Mbs
Nobody to contact, nobody to hop up and down at.
Do I care WHY they did it...….NO.... BT quite happily wave contracts around when it suits them. The probable fact that they've oversubscribed their network shouldn't be my problem, but theirs.
The network is not oversubscribed
have you checked you have a dial tone on your phone? If so check for noise. Dial 17070 option 2 should be silent and best with corded phone
post hub stats. If hh6 then advanced settings then technical log information
Really,
I worked in IT as a Systems Designer/Programmer then Department Head for 3 decades.
I watched my HUB6 go offline.
I watched the commands being TR90'd
I saw the reconnect.
I have also had previous conversations with BT doing the same on my account at another address. - When evidence was produced, they had the good grace to go "oops" and reinstated everything, I was happy with that.
My Hub was operating perfectly well.
There was no reason for them to do what they did.
My contract is for a minimum of 47Mbs
I'd rather have the speed than the £20 fee returned to mollify me.
BT (and others) don't bank on EVERYONE connecting at the same time, that's oversubscribing. For what theyve stripped me of...well do the math.
Thanks anyway, but no cigar 🙂
Post hub stats let's see your connection speed. Bear in mind any guarantee from BT is connection speed not connection speed
if there is a congestion problem then that will not affect your connection speed
Quiet line test?
3 reboots, speed back up. I'm happy with that. Don't mind getting squeezed 10% or so - every little counts - but I was severely miffed for a bit.
Thanks anyway, and thanks BT for responding to my fault text.
