...or my (google) DNS cannot find World Wide Web bt.Kom?
Yeah I did all the reset hub stuff too and it still keeps showing up in the errors log.
and another thing - why do we have to use the bt dns servers?
They're so slllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooow!
..........and they're not DNSSEC ......
......and they don't do ipv6.
You only have to use BT DNS servers if you choose to use the BT routers because it allows BT to comply with the law about restricting access to **bleep** sites etc and parental controls. If you want to change them on your devices you can and if you want to use any other DNS server you re free to do so but you will need to purchase your own router so you can circumvent the law pertaining to ISPs.
Just to be clear - according to BT - it's legal to leak DNS and illegal not to DNS leak?
These are my legal and leaky ie - NOT Private At ALL - BT servers:
....................and now I'm wondering do these same Bt dns servers now accept encrypted requests from Bt clients and if so what is the encryption used?
Just tested and looks like there's no detectable encryption used by BT DNS servers
