BT Mail folders

Hi 

I recently had trouble with my outlook and bt mail account. Outlook keeps trying to synchronize the emails and gets stuck, it is the latest version of outlook using Office 365. How can i fix this issue? 

Trying to fix this issue, i tried unsubscribing from some email folders (inbox), once i unsubscribed from these email folders i realised I needed to view some past emails. How do i re find these folders and subscribe again to these folders so I can view the emails? I can view emails up to a year ago and then 3 years ago but not any in between, e.g. i can view all of 2020 emails, none from 2019 or 2018, but 2017 etc I can view. However i can see sent emails from 2018 and 2019 in the "Sent" folder, just not the replies in my inbox. This is the same in BT web mail and outlook (when it works) 

Any help would be much appreciated

Click on  IMAP folders, make sure the 'All' tab is selected, click query. Highlight the folder you wish to subscribe to and click subscribe.

Is this for Outlook or can I do this in BT mail, as i can't currently use outlook at the moment?

Outlook, you only subscribe to folders in mail clients. All folders are always available in webmail, you don't subscribe to them.

i have tried this and i still can't see the 2018 and 2019 emails these are not visible in the webmail client either. Is there any other way of finding these emails?

Are you sure you didn't delete the folders when in Outlook rather than unsubscribing?

I moved the 2019 and 2018 emails into an archive folder, this folder has 2017 emails and the rest in but not the 2018 &2019 emails, if i have deleted them is there any way i can retrieve them or bt retrieve them? It just seems odd that i can see the sent and trails of 2018&2019 emails in the sent folder.

Archive folders will only be on your machine, they won't be on the BT mail system, there should be an archive.PST file containing archived items.

ok there is archive files on my machine however there is also archive folders which show up in bt mail? the ones where i put the emails that i can't view/find.
