BT Mail

I was asked to provide feedback on BT Mail, which is a major step back from Yahoo Mail as was;

Message limit is 300kb - pathetic, even the smallest images push you past this

You can only delete messages in folders using the delete icon at each message - pathetic - slows the studying up of messages badly. Why can't you use the "Delete" key as you could in Yahoo Mail

You can't add the Inbox of other Mail accounts you have - In Yahoo Mail I could see my Gmail account too, now you can't

iOS App still poor at refreshing and getting messages updated

On PC when new messages come in, you can no longer select a message (it picks up the wrong one until you refresh the page).

Basic, basic stuff.

There's more but fix these ones first. The worst "upgrading" I've ever experienced.

The embedded image limit is 300Kb not the message size.

Re: BT Mail

Anytime the message goes beyond 300kb it won't send.

Usually caused by images but not exclusively.

Most images these days are over 300kb anyway and the minute you want to add two or three it's a problem.

Yahoo Mail did not have this issue, that's my point.

They didn't even provide an equal service, they took us back about 15 years.

Re: BT Mail

So how do you explain that I just sent an email with a 12Mb attachment quite successfully?

Re: BT Mail

I'm not talking about attachments.

I'm talking about images within the body of the text when you are explaining ideas to someone as part of a story.

Re: BT Mail

If you have a read through this link you will see BT are aware of the imbedded image limit and are looking into increasing it

Which is what I said in message2 but you insisted it was an overall message size limit which it isn't.

Re: BT Mail

It would appear the BT have raised the size limit of embedded images. I have just sent a test email with four embedded images each image being 1.18mb and it was sent and received without issue.

I do not know what the upper limit is now but it is obviously larger than the previous 300Kb limit.

This was on version 2.19.1

Re: BT Mail

You may be able to attach larger images, I can't.
