BT Mini Connector Speed

We have just upgraded to BT full fibre and I can get 150Mbs by WiFi from opposite end of house to Smart hub2. My son's gaming PC has no WiFi card so he is connected via BT mini connector at hub and one in his room. Both connectors have both lights solid blue but he can't get more than 25Mbs after several tests and it is driving him nuts. What is the problem?

What colour is the data light on the mini connector.   

Check the drivers are up to date for the NIC. Don't rely on windows update, check with the manufacturer's site.

Yes, you might also want to try swapping out the ethernet cable, one may be dodgy.
