BT Mini Connectors - WiFi Hotspot?

Hi,

Does the receiving/remote/second BT Mini Connector create a local WiFi Hotspot or can it only be used via a wired ethernet connection?

Just Ethernet, you need a mini wifi hotspot 600 to provide wifi and Ethernet

I thought as much, £20 down the drain... Will phone up and see if can do a swap.
