BT Mobile App.

Every three weeks, the BT Mobile application shows a message to the effect that a new pin is required to allow use of the application. On tapping the message "send new pin" a pin is texted, and says "enter your pin to activate".

There's nowhere to enter the pin in the BT Mobile app as setup, but it does then reactivate automatically.

Is this a routine check by BT to see if anyone is there?

Or is the application expiring because the pin number has not been entered?

Phone is Galaxy S5.

Re: BT Mobile App.

I'm not marking this thread as solved, as it's still open.
There's been a new Andriod update today, but no specific details were given, although they are probably available on the Andriod site.
Perhaps the BT app may be affected, although I can't see why it should.
Still on Adroid 5.0, however.

Re: BT Mobile App.

I've just to reactivate my BT Mobile app for the third time since I installed it.  Why does this keep happening?

Re: BT Mobile App.

It only takes a minute at most to receive the new activation pin by text.
So it's only a minor inconvenience.
It's puzzling at first as the text asks you to enter the pin, but this seems to be done automatically.
If you keep your texts, you can see the frequency by date, and this appears to be 21 days.
