Am I right in thinking I can change my new 18m contract sim only up and down each month to suit my data needs without extending to another term?
I did see the page online but wasn't sure if it meant I could up and down whenever I chose to each month. Would that also change the monthly amount due?
Also, as a sim only customer only purchased 29th Sept, do I have access to 5g or not?
Or is it only barred on handset purchases?
As per the info on the website -
You can now move up or down a plan once a month. Switch to any higher plan at any time, or move to the next lower plan from your next billing period. SIM customers can step down to any plan, and handset customers can move to any plan at their original contract data amount or higher.

Log in to My BT then Your Products then Mobile and you can change your plan from there. The options are a wee bit limited though.
Your plan will also be 5g ready, that’s been standard for quite some time now. You’ll just need a 5g compatible handset, and also be in an area with 5g coverage.
