Last year we changed our name from BT Vision to BT TV. As the next step in our move to a simpler viewing experience, we’ve listened to feedback from our customers and we’re now giving BT TV a fresh new look and feel. Not only will this make finding your favourite films and programmes easier, you’ll also find the whole BT Player much faster and more responsive.
When is the BT Player changing?
We’ll be sending out the new BT Player to our YouView customers over the coming weeks and we’ll be updating BT Vision+ boxes with the same changes in the autumn.
What’s changing in the BT Player?
The new look and feel will allow you to move around menus much more easily and everything will load more quickly. The original view has now been replaced with lists, which means that more menus appear on the screen at once, so finding what you’re looking for is much easier. Text is now displayed in a new font to help with legibility and accessibility, and on the left hand side of the main menu you’ll find ‘quick links’ to the programmes or films you’re currently watching or have bookmarked for later. Any playlists or bookmark lists you’ve already set up will remain, along with anything you’ve already purchased.
Will this change affect my subscriptions at all?
No, you’ll still get the same great programmes included in your subscription and your monthly payments won’t change.
