BT Premium Whole Home Wi-Fi three discs

Go to solution

I am just looking at getting some of the Premium Whole Home Wi-Fi discs, I see they  have 2 RJ45 sockets, can these be used to connect to the network rather than picking up the signal from another disc?

For example if I have a room that doesn't have a good signal from the other discs but has a cat6 cable running to it, can I plug it in to get full signal and the mesh still work?

Thanks

Yes you can - this is also possible with the other cheaper Whole Home Wi-fi systems.  If you are going to hardwire the discs then you won't benefit from the Wifi 6 backhaul connection that comes with these Premium discs.

Thanks for that, I will try it without first but at least I know I can use the cable if I need to
