Do you have it connected via one of those power saving extensions, that disconnect other sockets when the master socket is powered down?
do you mean connected to the PC?
its just connected to the PC by an ethernet lead?
or do you mean the power socket that the PC and HUB are both plugged into?
thats just a standard serge protector extension
What they are powered from. Could be an issue with the surge protector extension. Try a different extension lead.
Ethernet is a balanced connection, with no physical connection between devices, as optical isolation is used, so it has to be a power issue, unless you have the hub configured for some form of power saving mode.
Perhaps its just the light sttings on this page?
yes you were right. the pc was plugged into the main power down socket on the serge protector..
thanks alot.. all sorted.. learn something new every day:)
