I've a BT Hub 6 thats running firmware version SG4B10002244
The last message in this thread suggest that the issue is sorted, yet I'm still getting my Hub showing the green light, in most situations its when a device is connected - I'm guessing that the problem lies with the DHCP server when a device asks for an IP address.
Is the only option now to purchase my own router and just dump the Smart Hub, as it seems trying to get a replacement from BT would be pointless if they all have the same issue?
Getting a good third party modem/router is never a bad thing. Some reports of similar hub issues on the forum. If you go for new kit get one that supports VDSL and any other things you might need, IPTV for example.
The Hub can always be a last resort in an emergency.
Anyone know who exactly I should contact and via which method?
Tried the via Technical Support and all they've done is run a line test, but it's not a line fault as the light goes green and the hub resets itself before reconnecting
Just had a call back it seems all they've done is turned on interleaving and refuse to accept it's a problem with the hub
Lots of line errors can cause problems, so perhaps they could see errors, and turned on interleaving to assist with error correction?
Is the home hub still giving problems?
Can you post the information from the smart hub, using this link.
The DSL uptime is low as the line test caused disconnection.
I'm still getting the Hub restarting and doing the green light business its usually when a device that hasnt been connected for a while (since yesterday as example) rather than randomly.
He said that the "improvements" to my line will take place over the next 24 hours

Well its still on fastpath, as they cannot change it anyway on BT Infinity, so they are mistaken. You will see no improvements.
I wonder if its just the home hub going into a power saving mode? Do you have anything connected to any of the Ethernet ports?
I have a PC connected to the Ethernet, but that was off since yesterday.
Today it co-incided with me turning on my Nvidia Shield. Yesterday it was when I tried to connect something via Air Play on my iPad. This restarting can be caused by either wireless or wired devices
