Not sure that's the case . In the post Is my BT Smart Hub setup okay? it shows modulation G_993_2_ANNEX_B and in
Smarthub (6) it shows downstream and upstream sync speeds of 46.29 Mbps and 6.68 Mbps respectively.
There have also been posts of people talking of upgrade from SG4B100021EC to SG4B100021F4.
FTTP - Fibre to the Premise - which is the type of Infinity I have. Sometimes referred to as FTTH - Fibre to the Home. Basically means the fibre optic terminates in the home rather than the BT cabinet (as is the case with FTTC) which should deliver the full Infinity speed.
Just search this forum to see you are not the only one. Key thing is not to send back HH5 if thats what you used previously. If you didn't get on to BT and ask for a HH5. Don't be like me and waste 3 weeks of my time battling to make it work. Reverted to HH5 on Saturday and everything back to normal.
Mine arrived saturday, and now I am back to HH5 today as none of the ipads were connecting, iphones did but lost connection and sonos wouldnt work properly.
BT sent if for free but its useless. I dont understand how the HH5 can be a much better kit than the new one which must have been in development for years.
The wifi is useless, the password memory is useless, its compatabiity is --- yep useless.
BT or rather "the team" have a near 100% way of reproducing the VPN issue, which frankly is a lot more than many of us developers get, at the very least let us know that a fix is on the way.
Seconded. Come on BT.
The hub 6 that we are having problems with that arrived in July has no record of any other firmware updates since the May one.
