BT Smart Hub upgrade denied - BT misled people through the press
BT communicated misleading information to the press/various medias in June/July, regarding the release of its new BT Smart Hub router.
A number of product reviews and articles were published on that product, and most stated that "new fibre broadband customers and those re-contracting should be offered the Smart Hub for free" (or very similar wording).
I have contacted several of those medias, and have been advised that this wording had been provided by BT (as expected).
I contacted BT to get a free router update, and was denied it, despite renewing my fibre contract in July. I then raised a complaint, which was filed without being addressed properly (they couldn't care less).
