BT SmartHub6 Connection Routinely Dropping

Hi all, just to add to the list of these threads heh.

I was previously on 8mb ADSL, using a Homehub 4, and moved to BT Infinity 2 with a SmartHub6 on the 26th October.

However I'm still experiencing routine connection dropouts, this isn't constant, but seems multiple times a day at least, and when it happens, the disconnections are grouped together (like within minutes of eachother). This isn't something I had with my old connection and Homehub. That usually used to last until the fortnightly reboot.

As to now I don't think my speed has been affected too much, (though as you can see I'm getting a bit less than the stated 80?, whereas before I used to get 7+ out of the max 8mb). I'm connected directly to the router by ethernet, and the router is plugged into the Master Socket (Single socket faceplate, with a filter, which is the same filter as what I was previously using).

Could someone give my stats a look over please and see if this is normal? (I'm seeing a lot of other posts with similar issues with these SmartHubs..):

Ookla Speed Test: (Interestingly after a bout of connection drops, this seems to default to a different location than where I am. Such as it thinks the nearest server is in Manchester, or Scotland! When my nearest is0 Sheffield)

Your own 3rd party router/modem combo will always be better than anything any ISP supplies.

Interesting, I'll look into it then cheers.

I'm aware that a lot of others are having problems with the SmartHub6 (despite the "pro" reviews lol..)

However I thought that it would be fixed soon! Not like I had a choice anyway as I didn't have the equipment to run my old Hub 4 with it. Didn't have the chain-disconnect though like with this one, don't know why it drops so many **bleep** times in one go.

Bought a TP-Link VR2600. Hopefully this will be more stable.

Got my upload back to 18-20 at least with the reconnect, woo!
