Well, I'm happy to say I've had not a single connection drop (besides that SmartHub restart, but that's a router reboot so eh) since the engineer visit. The TP-Link has been fine also. Connection completely stable, nice and fast, happy customer.
If only all BT's support was this good (no India..), they'd get a much better rep! Many thanks all.
