Apologies but I mistakenly posted this in the "Phones" forum, when it seems that it applies more here. Anyway...
I just had an interesting conversation with some customer services person. It seems that International Freedom doesn't apply to BT SmartTalk. This fact isn't really advertised anywhere, in fact all the advertising seems to strongly imply that you can use your landline services on your mobile. Is there a full list of addons/services that don't apply to BT SmartTalk (but applies to your landline)?
I've noticed too.
I can't even use 1471 to see if someone has tried to call my landline.
1571 doesn't work either
None of that is surprising since SmartTalk is simply a way to make calls from your mobile and charge them to your landline. It's not meant to make your landline portable.
Possibly, but your UK landline calls come under your calling plan, so they'll be free if you call at weekends for example.
There really needs to be an explicit list of services that are covered (e.g. landline calling plan, etc.).
