BT Sport Problems using 3rd party router

I have a bt infinity connection and am using a linksys e4200 router. all works fine, on demand on you view works fine. But I can't get BT sport or ESPN, does anyone know why? BT simply say I have to use the homehub for the channels to work. when I ordered the sport I was told I could use a 3rd party router no problem. Any suggestions on how I can get the linksys to work with BT sport?

Re: BT Sport Problems using 3rd party router

These new channels use multicast, so your router must support it.

If your router doesn't support multicast, it's never going to work.  Even if it does, it still may not be compatible with the way that BT Vision uses it.

The latest software for the HH3 and HH4 has been written with BT Vision support.
