BT Sport VC086 post Catalina and Safari upgrade on MAC

Since upgrading my MAC to OS Catalina (10.15) and Safari (13.0.2) I've been unable to watch BT Sport channels. I get a VC086 error message and following instructions on the VC086 error page  neither Website tracking or Cookies are blocked (Safari Preferences --> Privacy). 

Works with no VC086 errors on Chrome (v77.0.3865.120) but not Safari (v13.0.2).

Anyone else seen this and found a workaround?

Only work around I've found so far is to use Chrome or Firefox.

Tried everything to solve this but have failed. Crazy that BT hasn't fixed it.

Agreed, similar thing happened last time with BT not keeping up with Apple updates.

Another unhappy customer here but thank you for the Firefox suggestion, it works well.  Over to you BT.

There has been some changes to safari but still I can't watch BT Sport; how many days since Catalina came out?

It looks like there's at least some movement.

From the BTSport Help pages;

"Why can’t I watch BT Sport on Safari?

BT Sport works on the Safari browser unless you’ve upgraded to the Catalina OS.

We’ve raised this issue with Apple, who are looking into a fix. In the meantime, please try a different browser (IE, Chrome, Firefox) to watch BT Sport."

Looks like the latest Catalina update 10.15.1 has fixed this. Hope it lasts!
