My brother inlaw has BT broadband, but NOT BT TV. He likes to watch the rugby, but is getting a little fed up of watching it on his PC, up in his bedroom. He would like to watch it on his TV, in the comfort of his lounge.
He does not have an " internet " tv, so was thinking of investing in a Western Digital TV Live media streaming player.
Does anyone have expierience of such a thing ? Would it provide what he is looking for ? I.E. to watch live rugby, on BT sport, on his TV, in the lounge.
Any help or advice would be greatfully appreciated.
BT only support BT Sport on a limited number of devices:
If it's not on that list, it probably won't work. BT Sport will also be available on Chromecast at some tine in the future.
Connecting the PC to the TV with an HDMI cable should do it. If that's impractical, Google turns up some PC to TV wireless video senders.
Thank's Pottyperson. The idea is to not use a cabble if possible. I'll look into the video senders.
Thank's Ectophile. Do you think it would work using a Linksys DMA 2100 ?
I suspect not, but I don't know enough about the device to say for certain.
