OK, so I need to wait some more time for the line to get faster, ie more than 15 days after a reset?
you need to check the dsl uptime which is shown in hub stats and is time your hub has been connected to the internet this is not system uptime which is how long your hub/router has been powered up which is something totally different
I have checked that, it says 39.5 hours.
Something happened last night at around 01:30am, the line had been quite happily syncing at 45Mbs for about 4 or 5 days, the router has not been touched, has been up for 28 days. Today it is syncing at 39,998Kbs.
I can see the line has been syncing at 39,998 since 01:30am this morning, and router has been up for 28 days.
The line never drops during the day, I stream radio, zero dropouts during day. I have not had any issues with phone line noise. What could be causing the sync speed to go down from 45Mbs to 39,998Kbs in early hours of morning?
if you are showing 28 days for router uptime and only 39hrs dsl uptime then your router is dropping connection and if so will delay the DLM form removing any banding. you need to find cause of router dropping internet connection before you will make any progress
So what would cause my line to only resync during early hours of night? The router is 'stable' during the day, I have not seen any re-syncs during the day since line was reset by mods on 11/2, when it sync @ 45Mbs, was 34,998Kbs. There have been about 4 or 5 resyncs since 11/2 , but they have only happened around 01:00-03:00. I was under the impression these resyncs in early hours are triggered by BT equipment, not my router?
OK, I am still suspicious that BT is restricting my line to the 'Essential Product'
It was syncing at 34,998Kbs until it was 'reset' by the Mods on 11/2.
From 11/2 until 3/3 it was syncing at 45Mbs, the line was stable, it did not drop during the day, as I stream radio, and also checking the line stats on router, I can see it was only ever dropped/resync during early hours of morning.
It was dropped at 01:30 on 3/3 and now syncs at 39,998Kbs. Could a BT system be setup to change my service to 'Essential Product' and has reverted it back to 'Essential' Speeds?
the fact that your line resets at night and not during the day does not matter - a drop in connection is a drop in connection and with the number you are posting would suggest you have a problem. the reset the mods helped with has been lost as the DLM has dropped your speed due the unstable line. this has nothing to do with BT retail restricting your connection speed
you need to see if you have something causing interference in early hours causing the connection drops
I called BT and they said they did a speed test. They advised me speed was 37.5Mbs, and this was higher than the essentials, so I could not be on essentials.
The issue I have is I am paying for the superfast 1, but I am only getting essentials speed on the BT line. BT told me I could not change to essentials package, because I am getting 37.5Mbs and I am in contract. How can BT say I am getting 37.5Mbs but the router is syncing at 34.99Mbs and also the BT Wholesale broadband checker says I'm getting 34.99Mbs?
To rub salt in the wound, my business connection to same property, has been getting quicker, its now at 49.5Mbs (was 45Mbs)
