BT TV Youview 4k UHD box stuck in maintenance mode

Hi

I've come to switch on my Youview 4k UHD BT TV box this morning and it is stuck in maintenance mode. Despite trying all five options on this screen I end up back there. Can anyone advise how I can reset the box? Or do I need a replacement?

if you select maintenance mode option 2 what actually happens .. ie what occurs before you end up back at the maintenance mode options again ?

It either says 'sorry, selected option failed' and returns me to the maintenance menu, or it restarts, tries to load up (I see the BT TV and YouView logos) then I'm back at the maintenance window again. If it was a laptop/PC I'd say the hard drive was gone!

Assuming you have a BT Tv contract ring up to report a box fault.

I have the exact same problem, did you manage to resolve the issue? I'm not with BT so they're not going to help me.

Hi there

Basically the hard drive had gone, so I had to get a new YouView box. BT came out and replaced it and the newer model is much more stable. Sorry that doesn't help you much!

Any ideas? Isn't there a way to exist maintenance mode once you're in it?
