So still deciding whether to switch from Sky TV to to BT TV - BT broadband infinity in place since Nov last year.
Master phone socket in in different room so would need extenders to connect Youview box - not exactly ideal but understand the extender does the job?
My next question - am I right in thinking the only Sky channels you can get are Sky Sports 1 and 2 and Sky Cinema channels if you choose them?
No Sky Sports News, no Sky One and no Sky Atlantic?
If true is there any other way to watch programmes that are on Sky One and Atlantic?
I think the Now TV (subscription) app will give you the stuff you want. That app is on BT boxes.
You mention the 'Ultra HD box - ensure that you BT line is capable of UHD as many are not.
Ok thank you. Had BT broadband since November and getting around 48-49 MB speed as a rule.
Ok so one if the reasons for thinking of switching us to save money. If we end up paying more for a Now TV pass we may not save anything by switching to BT.
Not bothered about Sky Cinema as can get movies through other means but would want Sky Sports & occasionally Sky Obe & Atlantic.
good to know - I don't use Now tv
You can only watch the movies package on the Now app on BT. The Entertainment doesn't work, and therefore Sky One etc. is not accessible directly. You will need a Now box (or alternative).
I think the costs I have been looking at would be
£18 for total entertainment package which we would want
£27 fir Sky Sports
then any extra costs if needed for Now TV
Currently we are about £68 monthly in Sky for full tv package. We got Sky Cinema free for 12 months some weeks back as we had Sky Sports - rang them to cancel movies & they gave deal.
