BT Whole Home Wifi Logs incorrect time

Go to solution

Hi,

For some reason my BT Home Wifi system logs are showing the incorrect time and date. Its now 8am 4 March 2017 and the log is showing 01.11.2016 06:39:58 [2 4 1] HTTP-User login from 192.168.1.206.

Has anybody else noticed this happening over the last couple of days or perhaps its just me 😞

Ive reset and power cycled the discs a couple of times. I can see no mention of NTP or Time server in the log.

Thanks
Mike.

Just a guess:-

There was a problem with the time server yesterday, 03-03-2017.

Problem started at around 2-00AM, and finally resolved itself at around 8-30AM (yesterday).

There were pages and pages of log entries showing attempts to set the time.

I don't use the discs, but can you try to connect to the hub manager (direct to the hub) through an ethernet connection, and view the logs from 03-03-2017?

It turns out that the probems were because i had static ip address option enabled. Put back to obtain ip from dhcp server and the time updated with NTP and firmware updates were once again checkable. Very strange. Inwonder if the default gateway (192.168.1.254) was not being used
