Sorry for being dim. I pay for my son to have a mobile on my account. How does it work if he downloads the BT WiFi app? Does he have to sign into it as if using my account, so he can get the hotspot benefits?
He lives separately to me and, being a teenager, is running his data allowance pretty close all the time, so I thought I'd recommend this route of using the BT hotspot thing, but couldn't find how it works, if it does, on secondary to account holders mobiles.
Thanks
Solved! Go to Solution.
It only works with the primary account details, so you would have to enter your details into his app without actually passing the info on to him, otherwise he would have access to your BT account.
The app saves the information but it cannot be viewed.
Secondary accounts do not work.
Ah OK... seems a bit of a miss really. BT could surely allow you to share that out to only mobile numbers on the holders account via a secure share invite or something. Oh well, will tell him to stop streaming and messaging stuff when not at home so much!
Thank you for your fast response.
