BT Yahoo mail

BT Yahoo mail page changed recently and now I can't delete individual messages in a conversation. The whole conversation deletes. Anybody else got this problem or is it just something in my system?  Phoning Bt  and several Live Chats has given me no help.

Go into the settings and untick the box that groups conversations.

Thank you, yes that works but I didn't need to do that before the change. Before I could just select one email from the conversation and delete it at the bottom of it's page. Is this " New and improved"  ha ha !  or have I got some small glitch somewhere.?

I have no idea if it is "new and improved" or a glitch because:-

a) I am not on the BTYahoo email system and

b) I use an email client so that I don't get all the problems associated with using email via web browser such as adverts and the problem you have.

Finally managed to speak to someone at BT who had the answer. To keep costs down they have reverted to an older Yahoo system so a bit less user-friendly. I said they should have put out an email to explain.!!

Well that reply sounds wrong, not least because the interface is actually new and used by "vanilla" Yahoo - so it's not an older system at all. (In use by Yahoo for over a year).

Seems like the person you spoke to was spouting rubbish and had no idea what they were talking about.

As far as I can tell this is the way the "new" system is designed. If you have "conversation view" switched on there is no way of deleting individual messages. The only way to delete an individual message in Webmail is to turn off "conversation view."

Another alternative is to view emails in Outlook (other email clients are available!) where you have a whole host of additional functionality not available in Webmail.
