And it's still having a dicky fit
However, just checked with an old favourite of mine, 2wire.com and getting the following
Could anyone check what they're currently getting on http://www.2wire.com/bandwidth
Note. This tester does not measure the speed of your ISP connection
tried 2wire and got similar to you 1.3/1.4mb
then tried btspeedtester and after second attempt it worked fine
Thanks for checking:)
I have been witnessing pages on the btspeedtester that I've never ever seen before.
One was in between the test1 and the third test (tap3). It was saying something like this - you are connected to the internet using ****@btbroadband.com and you need to change this detail to speedtest@speedtest_domain
Which the tap3 page gives the same info, but in a different format
I have not had any strange pages on btspeedtester or at least not yet. did have a java page something about 'ticket' to allow which I did but that was all
That'll be tickerapplet2;)
Though I do untick the always trust bit before running it.
glad one of us was paying attention when it popped up LOL
Though I would say I've seen it a far bit over the last few days:o
Here's the extra page
And the sending to the server message can take anything from 5 seconds to 5 mins atm.
Ok, so it's telling me to raise this now, I'll try India as I could do with a laugh!
The Performance Tester is currently unable to run a speed test for your broadband connection. Please try again shortly, however if this problem persists, raise the issue with your service provider.

Soooo, I called the HD and spoke with a lovely Indian lady called Monica, but I'm not laughing and hope a mod can double check my line asap as it could be a waste of time for BT?
I've explained this thread to her, even stating several times that imho the speedtester is at fault based on others also seeing similar results
She has apparently identified and error at the exchange and is sending some poor sod out to the exchange tomorrow morning:o
