BT baby monitor 6000

Hello! I have a BT baby monitor 6000 bought in October but just started using it these past couple of weeks since my daughter is now using a cot, the device is/ was brilliant, however we came to turn on the parent unit last night only to find it will no longer turn on and the first green light on the left is solidly on, no flashing or anything and has been like that since last night.
Any idea what's happened? Is it something I can fix, or will I need to contact support?

Hi @DarthNaga welcome to the community and thanks for posting, I'm sorry about the problems with your baby monitor. If you've tried powering the monitor off and on and made sure that its not out of range I'd recommend reporting this to the helpdesk for further advice.

Hi, before you call helpdesk, make sure it's charged. If it's been discharged for a few months, you might need to wait an hour or so before there's enough juice to bring it back to life.

You have to discharge it completely, leave it for a good 12hrs, it should turn back on after that.

In all honesty, it happened a few times, so I took it apart in the end, popped the battery out, back in and this solved it instantly, I've left the rear panel screws off so now the back just unclips like a cheap smartphone and I can take the battery out easier 😂

As well as the clips all around the edges, there are 4 screws underneath the screen surround, you MUST take those out before popping the clips.

Warm the screen gently with a hairdryer then slide a thin prising tool between the white plastic and purple screen cover, go gently and it will come off, revealing the four screws underneath.

I had the same problem, just hold the menu button and the power button down for a few seconds and it should reset and turn back on

Hi, our monitor isn't charging and I think the charging port is messed up. I've got a new one of ebay but I am struggling to get the unit open. I've tried what u said with the hairdryer but can't get the back off at all. Could you give a more detailed description on how to do so?

Mine is also doing this. I paid more for the bt one as it was supposed to be reliable!

Helpline is not answering after waiting for far too long.

Holding power and menu buttons does nothing. 

Please can someone pm me, I can't even go to the shops to return it.
