hello all
so I was down for Fibre to the home but now OR have said that due to covid they can't complete it.
Contacted BT and it appears if you have at least 30mb connection they won't complete your order and install in your home, but here is the kicker if you have 29mb they will.
Has anyone else hit this? they said that is the guidelines and tough. I haven't been able to find anything suitable in the documents .
as an aside M from Accrington office started telling me about PPE, and I had to remind them that working in a large NHS hospital I am fully aware of what PPE is. I put in a complaint but they closed it without any resolution awesome

This information you've been provided is correct, if you have speeds of 30Mbps or higher it will be pushed back.
An Openreach Spokesperson said:
“Given the new national lockdown, and following government guidance, we’re updating our engineer processes to ensure we continue to keep our people and customers safe. As key workers, we’ll continue to conduct work outside the home.
Where we do need to go into homes, we’ll be prioritising urgent provisions and critical repairs for those customers who need a more stable connection and to avoid a total loss of service. This will mean that non-urgent provisions, such as those who already have a superfast broadband service and require us to work inside homes, may be delayed.
We’ll always aim to spend as little time inside homes as possible, whilst working safely with distancing, ventilation and PPE.”

The information is correct.
thanks for the replies.
We had this issue but as we stopped the current service we did not have one so they did install externally and internally - however they did take 5 visits to do this
