We have just built a house on our farm. The build was completed by myself and my family of builders so no 'New Build' companies involved to sort any wiring for me.
The address can be found on Royal Mail postcode search, but all service provders ive contacted including BT say they cant find my address and therefore cannot install a line.
The house at the moment has NO cables to it at all, and the property never has previously. There is a mains telephone wire that runs the boundary, but nothing coming off that onto the new property.
In escence, all i need is an overhead cable coming off the main and to the house. I am not worried about any 'set up' cost for an engineer to come and complete this, i just need to know HOW to get such a thing done.
Please help, I have been passed from pillar to post and really dont know what to do!
Welcome to this user forum.
Its Openreach you need to contact.
They will arrange a survey.
Thank you so much! wish me luck
I am sure they will be able to help, at a cost. I think they make a charge for an initial survey, which is then deducted from the final cost if you decide to go ahead.
