I downloaded a chrome ap via The national lottery site which came out behaving very oddly so I uninstalled it. Then re installed it from the Play Store. Since then some apps will not open and says "BT Email has stopped, close ap or send feedback. If you send feedback this is saying "Market Feedback agent has stopped"
I have spent ages on the internet, I have cleared Caches, Cleared Data. Installed, Uninstalled various times the Google app, Google G mail also is not working also 2 banking aps, all have the same message
This is a great problem to me and any help will be most welcome
Thanks
Have you carried out a soft reset, ie turning the phone off and waiting 30 seconds then turning it back on?
You have said you downloaded Chrome from the National Lottery site, if your problems with your apps started after doing that I would suggest that your problem was caused by that and is not necessarily with the BTMail app however have you tried deleting the BTMail app?
Apologies. It was the chrome app.
Yes the first thing I did when I realised there was a problem was turn it off then back on. Interestingly for some reason the bT app opens, you can see the email and new ones coming in, but just cannot open them at all, but you can delete them. If you try and open anything that is when it crashes
Gmail box and Samsung email do not even open, the same with the banking apps.
I am going to uninstall the BT email app, any ideas where it could have gone wrong ?
Thanks very much
In case you are wondering, I re-read your first post and gathered it was the Chrome app so I changed my post.
I would always advise to use the Google Playstore to download apps rather than using links on a webpage.
Going by the reviews for the BTMail app it would appear to be a very poor app and I would advise against using it until all the problems it has have been sorted out.
If you do uninstall it, restart your phone and I would suggest that you either use the phone's onboard email app or download another email app. I use the Aquamail app and others on the forum use the Bluemail app without any problems.
I have delted it and re installed it and the same thing happens. It shuts down when you try and open an email
Help !!
Thanks
Yes I did it without thinking, very silly and now paying the price. The onboard email which is Samsung email is also not working at all, same as Gmail.
I had no problem with the BT app until this I have uninstalled it gain and am leaving the phone off for a bit. But it is not looking hopeful. The banking apps are a worry too so that is 5 apps not working
Thanks for your help
It may be that something has become corrupted by the Chrome app download and you may have to do a hard/factory reset. It might be worth doing that in any event just ensure that your phone is clean.
Before doing that you should back up your phone's contents. If you are not sure how to do that just do a search about factory resetting your particular phone and it will give instructions.
