Is there a fix yet for this issue? Emails work fine, outlook app on iPhone works fine. But other apps such as Chuck (to organise email etc) fail authentication.
I know there are more than a few posts with people saying “wait a few days and it’ll fix itself” but this is now 6 months of it not working. I waited, I changed passwords, I tested everything I can. There HAS to be some level of support from BT on this other than “it’ll fix itself”...?
If your mail works fine with other apps, the problem would appear to lie with the app that doesn't work.
I wish that were the cAse. However I checked with the devs and no issues. And the endless posts on here about similar since the migration from yahoo suggests otherwise sadly
I doubt you will find 'endless' posts where one app will work but not another rather than no apps will work.
There have been/are problems with syncing of passwords between the servers associated with webmail access and client access but not different clients.
You could try the method that often works. Stop all clients from accessing mail, change the password in webmail, wait at least an hour to give the servers chance to sync and then try again with the new password.
Are you entering these settings manually on the app?
Yes using those settings. The app works for other email providers I have and was working up until the migration. Ever since then, nothing. I will try that technique though, worth a go. Is there no one at BT looking into the password syncing issue?
Still nothing?
